The initiative between Yates County, the Yates County Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Towns of Barrington, Jerusalem, Milo, Pulteney, Urbana, and Wayne, the Villages of Hammondsport, Penn Yan, and Pace University’s Land Use Law Center, Cornell University’s Community and Rural Development Institute, the Keuka Lake Watershed Improvement Cooperative, Keuka Lake Association, and the Genesee/Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council will initiate and support the creation of an intermunicipal leadership network in the counties and municipalities of the Keuka Lake Watershed. The initiative partners will assist in the development and delivery of leadership/land use training and will develop a collaborative sustainable land use plan among the Keuka Watershed municipalities. The Keuka Lake Looking Ahead project involves three key components: The Keuka Lake Local Law Assessment and Analysis, Land Use Leadership Alliance Training Program, and the Land Use Action Plan.
