Borrowers must own and operate a for-profit business within the Genesee/Finger Lakes Region.

• Genesee County

• Livingston County

• Monroe County

• Ontario County

• Orleans County

• Seneca County

• Wayne County

• Wyoming County

• Yates County

• Maximum loan is  $200,000.

• Minimum loan amount is $20,000.

• The creation or retention of one job per each $20,000 is suggested.

• Demonstrate that adequate financing could not be secured through normal lending channels.

• Other project funding must be identified before application is made.

 The applicant is responsible for:

• 10% equity

• collateral for loan

• evidence of job creation/retention

• application fee of $250 

• loan closing costs

Step 1

Applicant contacts us at Genesee/Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council or contacts local industrial development agency (IDA) in area where project is located

Step 2

If the project is determined a fit and all requirements** can be met, then the application and instructions, along with technical assistance, is provided to the applicant.

Step 3

Completed application, business plan, and application fee are submitted to RLF coordinator.
